I ATTENDED a conference in London where I was delegated for the St Helens area to receive training for The Company Of Community Organisers (CO Ltd).
The aim of the company is to train people such as myself to set up and run Social Action hubs which cater (free of charge) for community based organisations.
The SAH aim is it to assist in bringing these various aspects of positive community change closer, promoting and recognising them together with an aim of creating a larger network from where everyone involved has access to the benefits of being a part of a connected community.
The CO Expansion is a £4.2m contract issued by The Office for Civil Society (OCS) part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
I’m looking to learn of more activities of independent community work that would benefit from this SAH.
