WE’VE written to Conor McGinn MP asking him to take a much more active role in the debate around green belt development in the borough.
In February, Mr McGinn asked to meet our chair James Wright.
They had an excellent meeting but since then we’ve heard little.
The issue of green belt development is probably the biggest local issue in St Helens borough.
In Rainford, where the council plans to release seven large sites from the green belt, it is a major cause for concern.
In neighbouring boroughs, some Labour MPs have raised objections.
