IN reply to the Labour councillor who said now is the time to use green belt land, may I say it is not.
This land will be needed to feed our people in future years and is farmed by hardworking farmers and farm workers when the day is long from dawn until dusk.
I know because I’ve done it.
Houghtons Lane is not a suitable road for new housing.
It is a rat run for traffic day and night and can’t cope now.
Also our schools in the town are full, while the infrastructure is nil.
