I’M WRITING about an article in the Star about warehouses getting the green light to be built on green belt land in Penny Lane, Haydock.
I’m aware that St Helens Council ruled in favour of it but what about our say? We pay a ridiculous amount in council tax and yet we don’t get to vote on the important things.
And what about the moral and ethical implications of displacing all the animals currently living there?
Is there something wrong with using the brownfield sites and empty buildings in this town that have become eyesores?
Common sense is dead. That’s why people’s concerns aren’t being listened to.
