IN reply to the letter 'Dogs in the cemetery'.
£1,000 fine for irresponsible dog owners, what a joke. How many culprits are caught and named in the Star? There are not enough dog wardens to go round St Helens and the districts.
The cemetery is an easy target for all and sundry under probably the cover of night to take their dogs.
I myself had cause to approach a man in the cemetery last year whose two dogs were running wild and was given a mouthful. On reporting the matter to the cemetery office I was shown a thick book which was full of dog complaints.
How about letting CSOs apprehend those morons while on their rounds and help the beleaguered dog wardens.
Mr Manning.
