IS IT me or has the standard of driving slipped dramatically in St Helens?
The traffic lights at College Street and Standish Street are a nightmare for law-abiding drivers. I very seldom pass this way without seeing some idiot (or two) jump the lights when the ones on my side are clearly showing green.
Add to this those who do not know how to negotiate the YMCA roundabout and the trip into town becomes a real trial of patience.
For the record coming from Asda approaching the roundabout you stay in the left hand lane for turning left or going to North Road.
The right hand lane is for College Street. Simple, but the number of drivers who do not understand this is alarming.
And guess what is in between these two pinch points, yes our local police station. So, come on guys. Get your books out and start taking some names.
