I FEEL compelled to respond to AM of Eccleston, October 29, who was whining about "a couple of dogs behaving energetically" who barged into him in Taylor Park.
There seems to be a campaign run through the letters page to attempt to get dogs banned. As a member of the silent minority who is a responsible dog owner, I am fed up with it.
As someone in my senior years with a disability, I find the regular sight of alleged joggers very intimidating and regularly fear for my personal safety. I am not as quick on my feet as I used to be but generally these joggers resemble road-rage drivers who expect others to get out of their way.
As AM, Eccleston, puts it "they (dogs) present a danger" – so perhaps we should ban joggers too?
