I WAS jogging through Taylor Park the other morning when I spotted a couple of dogs off their leads in front me. I'm not sure what breed but they were pretty big dogs, behaving energetically rather than aggressively.
The problem is that, regardless of how friendly they are, they still present a danger.
Within seconds both dogs had bounded over and accidentally barged into me at force. Thankfully, I'm a pretty young bloke and I managed to braced myself and stay on my feet.
But what if it had been a child, or an elderly person?
I've followed the debate of dogs being allowed off their leads in parks in the Star for the past few months.
Yes, owners do need to take responsibility for their pets, but the only solution in my eyes would be an outright park ban on letting dogs off their leads.
