IT was on July 17 in Claughton Street: I parked in a disabled designated bay with my blue badge clearly displayed on the windscreen.
On my return I had been given a £70 parking ticket under 'Code 87' of the parking regulations. I have asked for a list of these rules but have yet to receive a reply.
I was parked for 10 minutes to buy a paint brush at Wilkinsons... this equates to £420 per hour. I should have got a man in to paint my gate.
This stringent enforcement of parking regulations are killing trade in St Helens. If you don't believe this, go to Widnes and see the difference.
Who in their right mind would risk paying £420 for a paint brush?
Disgusted.
