AS a member of Haydock Male Voice Choir I would like to express my personal thanks to the rangers who allowed us to use their shelter for our accompanist and keyboard player at the Newton-le-Willows show when the heavens opened.
It enabled us to complete our performance to an appreciative although drenched audience along with the choir.
Ironically we were singing 'Wade in the water' at the time.
The weather didn't dampen our spirits or the crowds' who were enjoying a very enjoyable event.
Well done Newton.
