AFTER the seats were taken away in the Hardshaw Centre I rang around my friends who live in Huyton and Billinge to pass on the news that they could not rest on the seats when shopping.
Yesterday they phoned me to thank me for letting them know. My friends from Huyton said they are fine now as they go six in a car to Widnes as there is no charge to park and that have company. They say the shops are busy and enjoy the days out. They told me to tell people to get the bus from the station. They will look out for old faces to have a chat they seem very happy now.
I rang my friend from Billinge and they love it in Wigan.
She said they will stay shopping there but miss the people of St Helens and they are worried about some of the old people who live on their own and the lonely.
