I AM glad Susan Antrobus enjoyed my letter and found it entertaining. I note she comments on how she relies on no one and that is admirable. However, some people are not as fortunate as she evidently is and are vulnerable and do need assistance.

Needing help is not being a burden to anyone. She says she is direct giving people common sense advice. I interpreted her first letter as if she was having a pop at St Helens folk, either able bodied or less able bodied, who had written in to the Star. And it is within their rights to complain about the removal of benches in the Hardshaw Centre.
