I WOULD like to add that it's not just elderly people that made use of the Hardshaw Street benches.
Younger people used them too. I'm type one diabetic, and shop in the town a couple of times a week.
Should I have a hypo whilst in there, do they suggest that I test my blood sugar whilst sat on the floor?
When this happens, I don't have five or ten minutes mins to make it to the benches outside. What if the cafe (outside Marks and Spencer) is full?
I guess the owners haven't considered anyone's needs at all....no matter what age, disability etc. They just don't seem to care.
