THERE can be no doubt about it, Labour were severely routed in the general election and the Tories can enjoy themselves watching their main opposition fight with each other for the dubious honour of who leads them into the wilderness.

The reason for the defeat was their arrogant neglect of their grassroots support which was left to rot on the vine as they discussed policy in the posh wine bars used by the London elite, where meals often cost £100 per head. At the time they were ordering brandy, Scotland was busy drifting off into the Atlantic as a lost cause.

And still they do not get it and are very busy now supporting the Conservative agenda on everything they opposed during the election campaign.

I always said politicians have no morals when they lust for power and Labour's new mantra would make Margaret Thatcher proud of her legacy.

The ordinary working man now has no representation as the Tories are busy repealing all of the hard fought for workers rights and conditions as most are forced onto zero hours and welfare is severely cut under their austerity.

And we do not need to look at our unions as they have also been neutered and are now treated as nothing more than a slight irritation. More trade union legislation is planned.

To me the Tories could split our society into the haves and have nots and people without hope could very quickly turn to extremist parties who will exploit the situation. The Tories should proceed with caution and inject a amount of humility.

The stone that Miliband had engraved has been altered and is now a gravestone with a new inscription saying Labour died in May 2015. It is in Ed Balls back garden.
