YOU wait for a bus, then 36 come along at the same time!
This is the Arriva adverts ement slogan – and how apt it is.
I regularly walk along Rainhill Road and can't help noticing that the 10A service is way over-subscribed with buses, two and even three buses behind each other carrying a dozen passengers at the most, but quite often empty.
The six minute time interval between buses is ridiculous and if this was increased to 12 minutes, then less buses would be required and still provide an excellent service. So, why on earth have Arriva purchased 36 double deckers ?
It must be the costliest route in the county to run! No wonder bus transport is so costly.
