IN LIGHT of the recent White Ribbon Day I have just finished reading the excellent This Way To The Revolution a memoir by Erin Pizzey , who opened the first refuge for victims of Domestic Violence in 1971, and helped to found the charity Refuge.
I’m amazed Erin is not more well known considering she was a pioneer in helping victims of domestic violence. Her books give a great insight into a complex issue and chart her journey in establishing refuges in the UK and USA.
