FIRSTLY, I would like to say two big "thank yous!"
Thank you to The Liberal Democrats of Eccleston and in particular, Teresa Sims, for listening to my concerns and taking action to ensure there is a proper mud free footpath from The Avenue to Prestbury Drive in Eccleston.
This means people who push relatives in wheelchairs from nearby Eccleston Court Nursing Home and parents with pushchairs no longer have to either spend ages cleaning mud off wheels or risk life and limb by walking in a residential road.
The other thank you has to go to those dog walkers, students and the public who have now started to use the footpath rather than walk in the middle of the road.
All we need now are signs at both ends to remind people that it is there for their safety.
This footpath is a benefit to the area and I hope it contributes to greater road safety.
Thanks once again.
