AGE UK bought the Mansion House from the St Helens Council with Lottery money.
It was supposed to be for elderly people.
But the last six months has seen regular users, such as the dancing group who meet every Tuesday afternoon and Thursday’s Tai Chi group, being moved to cold and drafty parish church rooms.
The average age of people is 80 years. Disabled groups and dementia groups do not use the facilities like before.
In my view, the admin only seem interested in hiring out to private business.
As a result, I’m no longer financially supporting Age UK.
