TAKING the bin away from the outside of the Hardshaw Street entrance was a very cheap trick. Local folk did like a smoke and chat as they stood waiting for their lifts home and they always used this bin.
Now the council has stated cigarette butts are a big problem, and there will be a fine of £75 for those that drop them. No wonder the locals are shopping in other towns.
We are ignored when we complain about the state and mess the town has been turned into and this council has created its own town by its ventures/fairs/events/stalls in our centre of town, which the locals do not want.
Is there any intelligence in this council apart from creating more forums/committees/agendas/meetings that they attend? I think not.
