I PASS no comment on the report of the charging of Marie Rimmer following an incident in Glasgow on the Scottish referendum day.

However, I was concerned to read that a number of St Helens councillors travelled to Scotland to campaign for in favour of a No vote.

While I am pleased that Scotland did vote No, this was a matter for Scotland, not a group of councillors from St Helens. Equally why have a Scottish flag flying from the Town Hall? Is it unreasonable to ask who paid for this trip?
