LAST month I visited St Helens cemetery at around to lay flowers for my husband’s anniversary.
The traffic was almost at a standstill due to the funeral of a member of the travelling community. The mourners had no regard for other road users and were cutting into moving traffic, driving on the wrong side of the road and coming out of the crematorium entrance.
I am surprised a major accident didn’t happen. When I eventually managed to park my car I was incensed at the amount of litter left in the car park.
There were empty beer bottles in parking bays and fast food cartons on the ground. There was a large gazebo erected and a large number of vehicles parked up at one of the graves parallel with the East Lancs.
They didn’t show any regard or respect for other mourners or the deceased.
Why do we have to contend with this behaviour?
