REGULAR Star contributor Lilia Hughes sent us a picture of this young blue tit that made itself at home in her house at West Park.
Lilia writes: “On the one warm summer day when I was in the house doing something upstairs my husband gave me a shout from downstairs ‘we have a visitor’.
“My answer was ‘put the kettle on, I’m on my way’. He said don’t forget my camera.
“When I came down to my surprise the visitor was a young blue tit sitting peacefully on the window ledge in the kitchen.
“The little bird got inside the house through a wide open back door. We let our unexpected visitor out but only after I took a few photos.”
