In response to the recent letter headed ‘Hospital worries’, I had to take my daughter to A&E on the first day of the school summer holidays after she broke her arm.
The staff were amazing. They saw her straight away, gave her an X-ray and wrapped it up all within an hour. They even had a play worker down called Sue who was fantastic and made my daughter forget the pain if just for a moment.
They went out of their way to make her comfortable. However, it was early morning and we did see more patients admitted as time went on but they were all treated very quickly from what I saw.
So I’d say to critics don’t be so harsh as they do their best with the resources available. I for one can’t praise them enough.
