HAVING read the article about Michael Egan in the Star I feel he is completely right in what he says.

I have worked from leaving school and never claimed anything from the Government in 28 years until 2012 when I had a brain haemorrhage and was in Walton hospital for a month having suffered coiling to my brain that left me with a left sided weakness, depression, anxiety attacks and fright.

I had to finish work on ill health as a care assistant which I’ve done all my life.

I ended-up claiming work related ESA which finished in February 2014.

I was sent for a back to work interview at the job centre where the person I saw said she couldn’t see me going back to work and that I should be receiving support.

In December 2013 I had written a letter saying I wanted claim ESA and thought it would be sorted before February.

Instead I got an appointment to go for another medical in May when I had already had one and was assessed with 15 points.

Now I’m all worked up yet again.

I have to watch my blood pressure and am so depressed with constant headaches and they want me to go and sit there while they decide if I’m fit for work or not even though my own doctor as written a letter saying I’m unfit.

What a joke! I’ve had no money since February and my husband is working nearly 60 hours a week to keep our heads above water and he is not in good health himself.

I can’t get help from anybody because my hubby is working all those hours which he has to do. Where does the government stand by helping people like ourselves, it’s so annoying.

I’ve paid all my taxes and can't get any help, we even had to hand our house keys back to the bank as we couldn’t afford the mortgage.

I’m sick of hearing or seeing television programmes about people who get everything on benefits when I can’t claim a penny.
