ST HELENS Council’s failure to collect my brown bin again shows the new collection system doesn’t work.
My wheelie bin gets emptied once a fortnight and, as I write, it is now three days overdue.
It is on my front with two bin bags that I have been told to leave at the side as well.
This is not good enough considering I have a baby, a dog plus myself and my partner.
When I ring the contact centre and I am spoken to like something they just stepped in, and to be told they will do it when they get round to it, makes me wonder if I am living in a town that really cares for its residents any more.
We are the ones keeping the town moving forward and paying their wages through our council tax.
I wouldn’t mind a little respect when I need assistance from my so called council.
Kevin Pook,
Parr
