I worry for the safety of the swans at Carr Mill Dam again this year. In recent years there have been reports of the swans being attacked and their nests decimated by vandals.
Could the Sankey Valley rangers or other wildlife protection groups attempt to encourage the swans to move to a safer location?
It is almost certain that an attack will take place if the swans are not encouraged to move to a safe location. I fear there is no deterrent severe enough to keep vandals in control.
