How can you let your dogs foul near school?
Shame on you dog owners of Rainhill... you know who you are.
I’m a dog lover, always have been, but I’m disgusted with the deliberate neglect from a number of owners who walk their dogs along Warrington Road and School Lane surrounding St. Bartholomew’s primary school and Church.
Every morning when I take the kids to school the pavement is full of dog dirt and it’s not just one or two deposits. It can be quite unpleasant to see so much left along one stretch of pathway from a minority of lazy, uncaring owners who fail to pick up after their dogs.
They should be ashamed of themselves for leaving such a mess for children and adults who have to run the gauntlet of dodging around this foul sight every day.
One owner in particular seems to take deliberate delight on several occasions by letting their dog leave a deposit right in front of the school gates entrance, making it very difficult to navigate around with small children and prams.
This has got to stop, so I’m asking the dog owners... ‘you know who you are’ to pick up after your dogs and I ask all residents of Rainhill, dog lovers or not, to be mindful around this area and challenge or report any dog owners you see who are not taking responsibility for their dogs, not just for the sake of the school kids but for every person in our community who uses the pavement.
W.Harvey, Rainhill
