9:04am Thursday 28th January 2010

I AM writing to your readers for volunteers to help raise funds for British Red Cross at fundraising collections in the St Helens area.

The Big Freeze

10:22am Thursday 21st January 2010

THE Big Freeze has finally thawed out... but the Star’s website saw record levels of traffic as the mini Ice Age brought life to a grinding halt for many in St Helens.

Hats off to St Helens Care Team

10:21am Thursday 21st January 2010

We are writing because thank you is not enough to emphasise how St Helens Care Team have looked after our mother during this treacherous period of bad weather for the last three weeks or so.

What do you expect?

10:10am Thursday 21st January 2010

I think some people are just being picky now, i am no fan of St.Helens council but you should not expect anyone to go out in this weather some side streets are very very dangerous?

Not my fault if the council don't want to do their bit

10:12am Thursday 21st January 2010

I've half a mind to stick my bin out and there it will stay until it's collected, additional bags and all,

Will we get a rebate?

10:17am Thursday 21st January 2010

I agree with michele finnigans letter in the star regarding council services in particular the non collection of refuse and recycling materials and the insufficient gritting of roads of all types in st helens.

I don't want a bin lorry skidding into people

10:19am Thursday 21st January 2010

I'm glad to hear the care teams are looking after the elderly and disabled so well, they definitely deserve a bonus.

Use the garden incinerator

9:44am Thursday 21st January 2010

There is more rubbish written on here than is in all the unemptied bins in the borough!

It's illegal to burn rubbish!

9:40am Thursday 21st January 2010

It is now ILLEGAL to burn house hold rubbish on your premises in St Helens.

Roads are too dangerous for bin collections

9:51am Thursday 21st January 2010

All the council workers have been in work and working longer hours than usual. Driving to far places to pick up grit for your roads at unhealthy hours of the day.
