BILLINGE made it nine wins in a row as they swept aside Manchester outfit Mersey Valley in front of another bumper crowed at Barrows Farm to clinch the Cheshire League Division One title from under the noses of Warrington Town Reserves.

The Storks applied the pressure from start and could have been two up in the first 10min when Bowden and Sephton's efforts were well saved by the Valley keeper.

In the 12 minute the visitors took the lead against the run of play after a great first time cross found Denton unmarked in the 6-yard box, his effort was saved well by Tom Hull but the re-bound found Denton again who was first to react and slotted the ball home.

Billinge responded well and two minuets later Liam Platt equalized after beating two defenders and unleashed a 20-yard shot into the top corner.

In the 25min Billinge took a well deserved lead when Steve Wolhurter played the ball through the Valley defence for Liam Bowden to latch on to and round the keeper.

In the second half Billinge maintained there constant pressure with there hard working midfield trio pushing the the visitors back and bringing the wide men Bradshaw and Ryan Platt more into the game.

And in the 70min Bradshaw's corner was meet by Liam Platt who's bullet header on the far post gave the Valley keeper no chance to put the Storks 3-1 up.

With five minutes left Ryan Sephton made it 4-1 to send the Storks back to the top and round off a tremendous season.
