RAINHILL Town will be disappointed to have come away with only one point, in a game they had dominated.

The first 25 minutes saw Town gain control of the game but found themselves 1-0 down. Capenhurst gained confidence with their lead and managed to hold on to their advantage until the break.

The start of the second period again saw Town on the front foot and after a period of sustained pressure levelled the score with a well taken goal from David Monteith. Michael Fargher put the visitors ahead, for the first time in the game, with a well taken individual goal. What should have been the catalyst to take all three points turned to disappointment when the home team snatched a late equaliser.

TOWN Reserves maintained the pressure at the top of the West Cheshire League third division with a scrappy 3-2 victory over Cheshire Lines.

On Tuesday with a 8pm ko at home against Marshalls Reserves, they have the chance to go top.

Next week's fixtures: First team away to Blacon, third team home to Sidac and fourth team home to Mattiola.
