The DH Griffiths Cup played out some exciting games this week with two games going in to extra time and one of them going all the way to penalties.

Parr Conservative Club needed extra time and penalties to beat Tanner Athletic.

At the end of full time the game ended 4-4 and with both teams getting goal each the game moved it to penalties with Parr winning 7-6.

In a close game West Park edged out Boilermakers Arms FC after 3-2 win in extra time.

West Park goals coming from Ashley Flynn getting two and Michael Anders getting one.

Old Mill FC made into semi final with a 3-1 win over Prescot Sun FC, Anthony Moss getting two goals and Patrick Weir getting the other.

Clock Face Miners came from behind twice to beat New Street Reserves 3-2, Michael O’Connor getting the first, then Sam Gregory levelling it up and Michael Kelsall getting winner with 15 minutes left to set up semi final game with Old Mill FC.

West Park Reserves stay at top of table with a 1-0 home win over Rockware FC with Rob Leyland getting the only goal. Bold Rangers FC moved up to third in the league with a 6-2 win over Sutton Junction third.

Goals came from Ryan Bolton, Gavin Jones, Thomas Lamb, Ian Webster, Lee Maylor and Sam Patchett.

Manor Athletic FC came away with a 3-1 away win over second place Ecclesfield FC, Manor goals coming from Nathan Ashcroft, Darren Magson and Jamie Rattigan.
