VULCAN and Windle Labour Club have reached the final of the Liverpool County FA Junior Cup.
Progress was sealed in semi-final successes at the weekend.
Vulcan came through against New Street late on in front of a crowd nearing 150, with Jamie Taylor stretching out a leg to slide a long pass around the keeper and James Cotton converting a penalty – all after the visitors equalised in the 86th minute.
Liam Irving gave Vulcan a 39th minute lead with a header from a free kick.
Windle, based at Ruskin, Drive Leisure Complex, overcame Belfry 4-2 on penalties after the game had finished 3-3.
The two Warrington and District League sides will meet in the final at Walton Hall in Liverpool on a date yet to be confirmed.
