FRESH from his senior Liverpool debut in Moscow, St Helens' own Conor Coady skippered the under 19s to a much-needed NextGen win over Rosenborg.

Lloyd Jones turned in a corner for the Reds' opener before Adam Morgan swivelled around neatly to strike home his first.

At that stage Liverppol looked comfortable but then Martin Lundal lobbed the keeper to reply for the Norwegians.

But before the break Morgan did well to keep the ball in play before slotting home from an acute angle.

The second half remained scoreless until stoppage time when Jerome Sinclair fired home.

Liverpool's next game in this competition is against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, November 28 - but having lost all three away games in the group, there is no scope for any home slippages.
