Young Saint Danny Jones heads for Barrow

SAINTS utility forward Danny Jones, who, although a part of the top squad last term, never made a senior appearance. The young packman has joined Barrow.
Also leaving ther club is Scott Hale, who has signed for Dewsbury.
Second rower Chris Flannery returns home to Australia this week after making 137 appearances for the club he joined in the middle of 2007.
Also leaving the club are Michael Shenton, who has joined Castleford, and Andrew Dixon, who is heading to Salford.
A number of Saints players have had operations since the end of season – these include Jon Wilkin, who needed surgery on his elbow, and Gary Wheeler, finger.
Former Saints skipper James Graham has been ruled out of England’s autumn international series after being banned for 12-matches for biting Melbourne and Australia full back Billy Slater.
New signing Jordan Turner will be the only Saints player on England duty this autumn after he was picked to represent the Knights for the games against Ireland and Scotland.
The Whittle Cup will be held on Wednesday October 17 at Newton Sports Club with 18 primary schools so far confirming their attendance.
Also present will be the historic Rugby League World Cup trophy, which is doing a tour of Britain ahead of next autumn’s tournament. The trophy will also be at Langtree Park the following day.
