Michael Shenton misses Warrington, but Sia Soliola and Ade Gardner return
3:59pm Thursday 13th September 2012 in Latest News By Mike Critchley
MICHAEL Shenton will miss Saturday’s qualifying play-off clash at Warrington after picking up a knock at Wigan.
It is a big blow - the former England centre has been showing some classy touches again in recent weeks.
But Ade Gardner and Sia Soliola return from injury for the eagerly anticipated clash at the Halliwell Jones, 6pm.
Saints coach Mike Rush said: “Sia still has a bit of work to do to make sure is fit for this week. It would be nice if we could welcome him back because the Warrington game would suit his attributes – getting off the line and banging his shoulder in.”
Rush has a couple of options at centre, with Gary Wheeler coming in as a straight replacement for Shenton or pushing Francis Meli inside for the first time since march and bringing Ade Gardner back in on the wing.
Wolves are missing England packman Ben Westwood and Ben Harrison.
