Jamie Foster would not play against Saints if teams met in the play-offs

SAINTS’ on-loan wing Jamie Foster will not be allowed to play for Hull against his own club should the two sides meet in the play-offs.

Goalkicking wing Foster is enjoying a good spell on Humberside after being dropped from the Saints first following the departure of Royce Simmons.

However, current boss Mike Rush confirmed that the week-to-week nature of the loan agreement would continue – but he remains in Saints’ plans.

He said: “We would be daft to give a player up until the end of the season when we are in the play-offs.

“I don’t think we would (let him play against us). I don’t think Hull would want that either because it would not be fair on the kid. Long term he is still our player and we have to do the right thing by him.

“This loan agreement was done not just to benefit Hull, who needed a winger, and Jamie, it is also for our benefit. If we need a winger through injury in the play-offs, it helps us that Jamie has been playing at Super League level – not the under 20s.”
