Firefighters in St Helens and Newton on duty for car washing charity event

A CRACK team of firefighters will be armed with soap suds and sponges, for a charity car wash this weekend.
Crews at Parr Stocks Road and in Newton will be holding the event on Saturday (September 8) from 11am and 11.30pm to 4pm, to raise funds for the Firefighters’ Charity.
There will not be a fixed price for the car wash, but donations will be appreciated.
People can bring along their families to meet the firefighters, who will also be offering fire and road safety advice.
