BIG Alex Walmsley produced an impressive stint off the bench in England's 74-12 victory over Australia's Affiliated States in Perth.

The big Saints prop staked his claim for a spot in the 17 for next Saturday's World Cup opener against Australia with some surging, tackle busting runs.

James Roby came off the bench to score a try with Mark Percival also getting on in the second half.

England's tries came from Ryan Hall, 2, Jermaine McGilvary, 2, George Burgess, 2, Luke Gale, 2, Kalum Watkins, George Williams, Roby and Kevin Brown.

Stefan Ratchford and Luke Gale kicked three goals each, Gareth Widdop chipped in with five.
