ALEX Walmsley is free to play in Thursday's semi-final at Castleford after his on report fend against Salford was cleared by the match review panel.
The big prop brushed off Jordan Walne in the first half, with the Salford man leaving the field with concussion.
The incident was placed on report, to the ire of the home fans.
However, the panel has backed up the referee.
They declared: "Player making legitimate attempt to fend opponent. Player has open hand.
"Opponent making front on tackle and contact made between arm and head of opponent. Player has not struck out towards opponent."
Salford's Ryan Lannon has been put on a grade D charge of intentional striking on Theo Fages, which occurred in the next play from the Walmsley incident.
Lannon faces a ban, if found guilty, of between 3-5 matches.
