- SAINTS played their get out of jail card with a late Jonny Lomax try snatching the spoils at Wakefield.

- And then they gave it some air, with Mark Percival's kick, chased by Regan Grace forcing an error to allow Lomax to swoop on to the loose ball.
- It had been a tough game for Saints, with some poor ball control and some jitters under the high ball costing thjem.
- Wakefield's wing Bill Tupou has scored two first half tries, with one from Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook sandwiched in between them to keep saints in it.
- The second half was completely controlled by Wakefield's halves and pack, keeping Saints in their own half.
- But after a Liam Finn penalty had made it 14-6, Theo Fages gave them hope.
- Another Finn penalty made it 16-12, but it was a miss that gave Saints a last chance.
- In the set after Finn's kick had hit the post, Saints went the full length, keeping the ball alive.
- And that allowed them to poach the winner.
