NEW Saints coach Justin Holbrook will arrive in England as soon as his work visa is sorted.
The 41-year-old Junior Kangaroo coach, who has left his post as Sydney Roosters assistant to take up the job at Saints, is currently having his application processed.
At this stage the club say Holbrook will arrive ASAP, and although there is no clear time on how long that will be they do not envisage any hold-ups.
The interim coaching triumvirate of Derek Traynor, Sean Long and Jamahl Lolesi will continue in post until Holbrook's arrival and then the latter two will revert to being assistants.
Traynor will return full time to his role with the Academy set up.
Although the timing would be tight, if Holbrook does arrive in time to take charge of the team for the Challenge Cup game a week on Saturday it could be an omen.
Australian Shaun McRae’s first game in charge of Saints on February 4, 1996 was away to Castleford in the Challenge Cup.
Saints won that 58-16, with Paul Newlove scoring a hat-trick, and went on to win the Challenge Cup and Super League double.
