WITH CEO Mike Rush in Australia sounding out and speaking with potential new head coaches, the three-man interim set-up continues to provide stability following the departure of Keiron Cunningham.

There have been some noticeable tweaks to the gameplan and selection, with Sean Long assuming responsibility for Saints’ attack.

And although Jamahl Lolesi faced the media during a difficult first week immediately after Cunningham left, Long and Derek Traynor have since taken their turn in providing the answers.

It is an equal partnership – with the maths making decision making over any thorny issues straightforward.

Traynor, the club's long-standing Academy coach, said: “Sean and Jamahl were involved at this level before me, but they have welcomed me in and we all give our opinion on things and make a decision.

“It is not about us – it is about the team, the lads and the fans, about performance and about winning.

“Our job is to try to make that happen.

“There are three of us so it is a two v. one if there is disagreement on decisions!

“None of us sulk if it goes against us or if there has been any disagreements, which there have been.”
