SAINTS have two players in England’s 24-man squad for the 2016 Ladbrokes Four Nations against Australia, New Zealand and Scotland.

Uncapped Jonny Lomax and Mark Percival are in the squad, but James Roby misses out.

Lomax has been rewarded for a dazzling end to the year in which he has bounced back from more than a year on the sidelines to produce the goods on both sides of the ball.

Silky-skilled Percival has been developing as a top drawer centre over the past three years and only injury has hampered his progress.

Saints boss Keiron Cunningham said: “I’m really happy for both Jonny and Mark on their selections to the England squad.

“Jonny has been superb since he returned from his long layoff and for me is the best full back in the competition. He is at the hub of everything we do.

“His commitment to his rehab and his professionalism is second to none and he thoroughly deserves his call up.

“I thought Percy was one of the best centres in the comp up to his injury.

"Like Jonny he was very dedicated to his rehab and showed us what he could do in our final two matches of the season.

“It’s a good chance to prove themselves at the highest level and I wish them all the best.”

The good news about Lomax and Percival is tempered by front rowers Kyle Amor and Alex Walmsley being overlooked, as well as Roby losing his place to Josh Hodgson and Daryl Clark.

James Graham is again included, and with Sean O’Loughlin omitted it could put the former Saints prop in line for captaincy.
