SAINTS forward Greg Richards says the mood is good in the Saints camp following their recent upturn in results.

The 21-year-old Cumbrian, who has started the last five for the red V, is relishing the prospect of facing the physical Catalans Dragons outfit this week.

And he says matching the Dragons’ powerhouse pack will go a long way to taming the threat posed by the French outfit, who, after a slump in form, picked up their first win at the weekend since they defeated Saints in June.

“They are a big physical team but I think we can match them,” said Richards.

“If we do match them we’ve got our outside backs who can put the points on the board if we just keep their middles quiet.”

The prop forward added: “The mood is good at the minute but even when we were in that bit of a bad spell the mood was still positive.

“That’s because we knew what we could do and we knew that we’d come into form.

“I feel pretty good about my own form and I’m getting a few more starts than I have been doing this season.

“So I feel good and I feel that Keiron (Cunningham, head coach) has confidence in me.”
