KEIRON Cunningham is not expecting a lesser test from Warrington Wolves tonight, Thursday, despite their five-day turnaround from a Challenge Cup semi-final success over Wakefield.

The Wire, second on the ladder, are only a point behind fellow Wembley finalists Hull FC in the hunt for the League Leaders’ Shield.

Cunningham said: “They are a good side and they are where they are in the table and where they are in the Challenge Cup because of that.

“Saints-Warrington games are always feisty affairs, always good games.

“Tony Smith (Wolves head coach) took his half backs out of the semi final with 20 minutes to go and rested some other players so he was definitely preparing at the back of his mind for this game against us.

“It is clear he knows how important this game is for his troops, as much as it is for ours.”

Warrington are not set to rest any of their key players, with replacement prop Ryan Bailey the only member of their semi-final line-up likely to miss out.

Due to a knee injury, his place is to be taken by 20-year-old former Blackbrook junior Sam Wilde.
