SAINTS defeated Widnes Vikings 12-10 in a tense game at Langtree Park on Friday to stay in contention with the top four.
They needed a late Mark Percival penalty to take both points, which with Catalans' latest defeat cuts the deficit to two points between fifth and fourth.
