SAINTS full back Jonny Lomax is fit for Sunday's Magic weekend match against Huddersfield Giants at Newcastle.
Lomax withdrew with a muscle injury after scoring a vital try early in the second half of the Super League clash with Salford.
But coach Keiron Cunningham re-iterated what he said immediately post match that Lomax's withdrawal was a precautionary measure.
Cunningham said: "Jonny's leg is fine - it was all a precautionary move.
"Jonny was disappointed on Friday; he didn't want to come off the field because he pllaying really well.
"He is still finding his feet after a 14 month lay-off, but he still scored a game changing try for us.
"It was opening up really nice for him and he would have probably got a couple more had he stayed out there.
"He is a big asset for St Helens and as head coach I have a duty to keep our assets fit."
