THREE of Saints up and coming youngsters have agreed new deals with the Club.

Matty Fleming and Oliver Davies have signed a one-year deals – with a further year as an option – whilst Lewis 'Dougie' Charnock has extended his contract until the end of 2016.

Head Coach Keiron Cunningham said: “We have a strong youth system here and that is testament to the quality of the coaching staff and volunteers in the Academy.

“The three lads have each progressed through and following really good Scholarship and under 19s performances are now part of the first team set up.

“They have shown a willingness to learn, work hard and also to set an example to the players in the 19s too. We’re looking forward to watching them develop with us.”

Fleming, 19, signed from Bold Miners after originally playing Rugby Union for Warrington.

He went on the Academy's Tour of Australia in 2013 and made his first team debut this year.

20-year-old Charnock also toured Australia with the Academy – in 2011 – and won the Coaches' Award for the trip due to his outstanding efforts, versatility, enthusiasm and leadership.

He made his first team debut in the snow against Salford in 2013 and has been used in a variety of roles including stand-off and hooker.

Davies, 19 is a second rower who played for England Academy in the 2014 test series against the Australia Schoolboys.

He made his bow against York City Knights in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup this year.
