SAINTS centre Jordan Turner played his part in the team’s try of the season so far on Friday.

Fit again after coming off sick with labyrinthitis, an ailment that affects the balance, during the trip to Catalans, Turner bounced back in fine style with a forceful game against one of his former clubs.

And after a bewildering passage of Saints play he was on hand to collect Adam Swift’s palm down to send Shannon McDonnell over for a wonder try.

It was a great way to announce his return after his game-and-a-half absence which had a few people baffled at first.

Turner said: “I am back to normal now.

“It was diagnosed labyrinthitis, which meant I had to miss the last game, and my balance went and I did not know which way I was running.

“It was bad for about a week but trained great and am fine now.

“I have had head knocks throughout my career but this is nothing to do with that.

“I started the season quite well, dropping back into the centres from where I was playing back end of last year and I have got used to it.

“I am now going to ramp it up a couple of more gears.”

The powerfully-built Turner will be a key strike weapon in Sunday’s clash against Warrington as Saints aim to end their Magic hoodoo in Newcastle.
