SAINTS will contest the charges against the two players called before tomorrow's disciplinary hearing.

Kyle Amor has been charged with a grade C offence of dangerous contact for his challenge on Castleford full back Jordan Tansey.

While Travis Burns faces a grade B charge for a reckless high tackle on Justin Carney.

Saints boss Keiron Cunningham says the club will contest both charges at tomorrow's hearing.

He said: "Maybe it is damage limitation on the Kyle one. We watched it back in super slow motion, which we tend to do in rugby league, and when you do that anyone can be in a vulnerable position.

"Kyle is not the type of player that deserves to be banned for a few weeks because he's a nice clean, honest player.

"It was an unfortunate incident and I hope they will be lenient on his record, because he's got a really good record.

"With regards to the Travis one - if some bloke hits you in the face with a straight arm and then that player can't see what he's doing, then how do you expect a player to know where the contact is made.

"Carney runs at Travis and catches him in the chin/throat area and Travis then has his eyes closed, if you watch it in slow motion, and so he can't see what he's doing.

"Carney's hand off is like a log hitting you. We will see. By the letter of the law, Travis does get him on the side of the head, whether he knew he had done that is another thing because he had a hand in his face."
